In this prestigious, corporate role, you will be ensuring the security and safety of a loading bay area and managing deliveries in a high-profile institution. An experienced loading bay operative, with exceptional customer focus, you will carry out a range of duties including:
- To check each delivery arriving and then log them onto the delivery system.
- Using software and tablets to log all deliveries onto the system.
- Training on X-Ray machine and scanning deliveries made to the building.
- To deliver all items received to the relevant occupier floors ensuring all delivery time schedules are met and deliveries are made using best manual handling practices.
- Following all H & S procedures and reporting on any issues found while making deliveries.
- Maintaining good relationships with all occupiers.
Key tasks:
- To log all items onto the delivery system.
- To deliver all items received to the relevant occupier floors.
- To ensure all deliveries are made within the agreed SLA.
- Responsible for equipment: Look after your delivery tablet and radio equipment ensuring you report any damages to your Line Manager. Check trolleys for any damage and report to Line Manager.
The shifts are normally 8 hours duration Monday to Friday. However, as part of a small team you will need to be reliable and flexible to support your colleagues.
To succeed in this role you will also need:
- Strong customer service skills and experience.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Good IT and administration skills.
- Five years' checkable history and references.
- To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
