In this high-profile role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of premises and people at a prestigious client site.
Responsibilities
- To undertake a range of general tasks, including (but not limited to) the control of access/egress to site, patrols and searching of vehicles and bags, when required.
- To ensure that the site boundary is secure by successfully ensuring that all persons transiting the access point have been checked to ensure they have the right to enter.
- Responding to customer requests and queries.
- Checking and challenging ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
- De‑activating and activating alarms, and unlocking and locking buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site.
- Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.
- Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems.
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is compliant with site rules at all times, escalating issues or non‑compliances accurately and in line with procedures and responsible for building security.
- Work collaboratively alongside Contractors and all other subcontractors to provide a high standard of customer service.
- To ensure evacuation procedures are adhered to, leading actions to ensure muster procedures are followed.
The shifts are normally 12 hours duration covering day shift on a pattern of 5 on 3 off. However, as part of a small team you will need to be reliable and flexible to support your colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
- An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential.
- Strong customer service skills and experience.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
- Good IT and administration skills.
- Five years' checkable history and references.
- To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
Additional useful but not essential
- A First Aid at Work qualification.
- An SIA CCTV (PSS) Licence.
