The Business Assurance (BA) Department are looking for a Health and Safety Support Manager to join our Health and Safety Team. To apply you must be within easy reach of travelling to Gatwick airport and associated sites. On occasions you may be asked to attend other sites. You will report to the Health & Safety Manager.
Visits, Staff Engagement, Health & Safety Checks & Reporting
The post holder is responsible for supporting Health & Safety activity across their assigned area through regular site engagement, monitoring, reporting, and coordination with site management and the Health & Safety Manager.
Accident Monitoring & Investigation Support
Monitor accidents on a daily basis, ensuring all incidents are accurately recorded and maintained within the agreed tracking spreadsheet. Maintain individual accident files for employees involved in incidents. Liaise with site or station management to clarify causes of accidents where details are unclear or incomplete. Follow up with stations / assignments on the status of accident investigations, including obtaining lost time details, fit notes, and supporting information. Escalate and provide full accident information to the Health & Safety Manager, particularly where incidents may progress to a claim. Gather and collate accident-related data and supporting documentation for onward submission to the Health & Safety Manager.
