ICTS are looking for a reliable and technology-savvy Control Room Operative to effectively monitor alarms and coordinate security responses for the sites of our Data Centre client in the Hemel Hempstead area. The role requires a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern covering 12‑hour shifts, both days and nights. ICTS is a leading security provider for Data Centres in the UK, offering competitive wages compared to local industry.
Responsibilities
- Meet performance targets for alarm response.
- Coordinate manned guarding teams to respond to incidents.
- Proactively identify risk and escalate any concerns.
- Audit and identify faulty equipment to minimise risks.
- Liaise with emergency services for fire, intruder, and duress alarms.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) licence.
- Experience in alarm monitoring in a multi‑functional control room.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality incident reports.
- Competent IT skills, using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web applications.
- Five years of checkable work history and references.
- Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to required standards.
- Willingness to undertake development training to further skillset.
