Ready to take the next step in your IT career? Join our team as an IT Technician, supporting schools with technology, networks, and AV systems across the Midlands and Northwest.

IT TechnicianMidlands & North West (travel to schools required; some work throughout England)

  • Full time, permanent (part time considered)
  • £26,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable IT Technician to deliver high-quality IT support and installation services to schools across the Midlands and Northwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site IT support across multiple school sites
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems (client and server)
  • Configure and manage network switches and wireless systems
  • Support and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, screens, and sound systems
  • Assist with user account management, software deployment, and IT housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting IT in a school or education setting
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019+)
  • Experience with switch configuration and wireless network management
  • Experience of a server based network environment
  • Familiarity with audio-visual equipment and its integration in classrooms
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

Desirable:

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)
  • Experience with cloud services such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for Education
