ICTUK is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Technician to join the Paper Mill team. The successful candidate will be part of a small team providing technical support to Paper Mill Operations to produce a quality product in an efficient, safe and cost-effective way. Role Responsibilities
- Support the Production Operation by testing, monitoring and reporting stock and water consistencies across a range of processes.
- Ensure that water and effluent daily meter readings are taken and recorded in a timely manner and assist with water and effluent efficiency on a monthly basis.
- Monitor and control boiler chemistry keeping records up to date.
- Responsible for the maintenance, calibration and operation of the effluent sampler.
- Arrange and manage the sampling regime, including samples such as composite effluent, storm water, skip moistures and prescribed substances.
- Oversee any contractors ensuring that all work is completed safely and according to site rules and procedures.
- Adapt to any changes in operating procedures and equipment that are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the plant and equipment under your control.
- To actively participate, communicate and feedback on any trial/development/CAPEX work to enhance the performance of the operation.
Required knowledge Experience
- Effluent plant operations.
- Industrial boiler maintenance.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes.
- IT literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
