We are now looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Wakefield site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader with a continuous improvement mindset to make a real impact in a highly regulated and fast-moving environment.

Your Mission at Elis

  • Lead and develop production and engineering teams to deliver on-time, high-quality service to our customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through Lean principles and the Elis Production Essentials.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and regulatory standards.
  • Take responsibility for site performance, resource planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work closely with the General Manager, deputising when required, and contributing to long-term strategy.
  • Champion a “One Team” culture across functions including engineering, service, textile and logistics.

What will make you stand out?

  • Proven experience in production, supply chain or service management, ideally in a regulated or process-driven industry.
  • Strong people leadership skills – able to motivate, coach and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and strong analytical skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and NEBOSH certification.
