We require an enthusiastic SEO professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving measurable results. The SEO Account Manager will play a key role in shaping and delivering client strategies across on-site (SEO content) and off-site SEO (link building) campaigns. Strong client relationship management will be a focus, with the ability to build trust, communicate insights, and ensure clients see the value in their SEO investment.
This is a hands-on role, needing a proactive and solutions-focused mindset to deliver results at pace.
The role:
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 (depending on experience)
- Hybrid-working
- Develop and execute outreach strategies for campaigns, overseeing link acquisition efforts and supporting SEO Executives with specific webmaster issues when required
- Hold a strong understanding of priorities across the SEO team, actively working to share resources and work to meet overall company targets
- Comprehensive overview of the team working on your campaign(s) output, looking to offer solutions to stumbling blocks to complete campaigns within a given timeframe
- Demonstrate an understanding of content optimisation and on-site SEO, including but not limited to E-E-A-T principles, meta tags, keyword placement, internal linking and header structure.
- Lead on client calls and face-to-face meetings, demonstrating expertise in SEO strategy while building trust and long-term relationships
- Act as main point of contact for client feedback, ensuring requirements and guidelines are upheld by the internal team from the outset
- Create and deliver data-driven client reports that track campaign success, provide insights, and offer strategic improvements
- With other SEO Managers, be responsible for the effective line management of SEO Executives, including training, mentoring and ongoing performance reviews
- Experience in a digital marketing agency, in a fast-paced environment
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of SEO principles
- Experience developing link acquisition and content strategies
- Working knowledge of SEO tools such as Semrush, Moz, Majestic and Ahrefs to support with SEO i.e backlink gap analysis and competitor research
- Ability to think strategically about complex issues, and to solve problems
- Comfortable in providing constructive feedback to individuals with a view to improving results
- Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable liaising with senior leadership
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to win client cooperation and develop long-term business relationships
- Embrace change, with the ability to not just adapt but also enthusiastically guide teams through change in client demands, internal KPIs and processes
- Proven time-management and organisation skills with the ability to self-motivate
