About the Role

As Curriculum Lead, you’ll provide academic leadership across the Accountancy and Finance Academy, driving curriculum development, learning design, teaching excellence and continuous improvement across our portfolio. Working closely with academic, operational and commercial teams, you’ll ensure our curriculum remains engaging, relevant, commercially competitive and aligned to awarding organisation requirements. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the academy by leading curriculum improvement, qualification reform and learning innovation across the accountancy and finance portfolio. As the academy's curriculum lead, you will drive improvements in learner outcomes, academic quality and the overall learning experience. Alongside curriculum leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a defined allocation of learners, providing academic and subject-specific support that enables you to remain connected to the learner experience and use learner insight to inform curriculum development and continuous improvement activity.

What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead curriculum review cycles across the accountancy and finance portfolio.
  • Design engaging learning content, resources and learning experiences that support learner success.
  • Ensure curriculum content remains accurate, relevant and aligned to awarding organisation requirements.
  • Support qualification reform, curriculum redevelopment and new product launches.

Teaching & Learning Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment practice across the academy.
  • Review learner feedback, assessment outcomes and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop resources, interventions and innovative approaches that enhance learner engagement, confidence and achievement.

Academic Performance & Subject Leadership

  • Act as the academy's internal subject expert across accountancy and finance provision.
  • Analyse learner performance and curriculum effectiveness, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide subject expertise and academic guidance to associates and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of industry developments, qualification reform and emerging trends.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance learning through technology, AI and innovative teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, curriculum innovation and the future growth of the Accountancy and Finance Academy.

Learner Support & Insight

  • Maintain a defined allocation of learners and provide academic and subject-specific support where appropriate.
  • Use learner insight and feedback to inform curriculum improvements and support learner achievement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience developing and enhancing curriculum within accountancy, finance or professional education.
  • Experience designing engaging learning content and learner resources.
  • Ability to use learner insight and performance data to drive improvement.
  • Minimum AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead curriculum improvement and translate learner insight into meaningful change.
