As a RU-EN Translator and Editor, you’ll play a key role in translating, editing and proofreading content from Russian into English across a wide variety of text types. You’ll work alongside a diverse team of language enthusiasts, taking pride in producing content of the highest quality. We specialise in highly-regulated markets, and the content will almost exclusively be focused towards iGaming (online casino and sports betting).

The role is fixed term (until end of year), full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with hybrid-working (minimum of 1 day per week in the office), but we are accepting applications for fully remote UK-based candidates.

  • Translating, editing, and proofreading content from Russian to English
  • Handling content in highly-regulated industries (iGaming)
  • Completing linguistic quality assessments of translation samples
  • Providing constructive and professional feedback to freelance collaborators, helping to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Assessing source texts, using linguistic expertise to flag any issues
  • Proactive communication with Project and Senior Managers, ensuring visibility across all tasks

Requirements

  • Native-level English speaker with an advanced knowledge of Russian
  • Qualified translator, by meeting one of the below criteria:
  • Translation or language-related degree
  • Degree in any subject and two years of full-time professional translation experience
  • Five years of full-time professional experience in translating
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Familiar with CAT tools, including memoQ and other localisation software
  • Receptive to receiving and acting upon constructive feedback
  • Ability to organise and manage a number of time-sensitive linguistic tasks
