We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated School Cleaner to join our team at a primary school in the YO25 5HR area. This role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Working hours are 3.30 PM - 6 PM. The successful candidate will work either early mornings or late afternoons, ensuring classrooms and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washrooms
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Wiping desks, tables, and other surfaces
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies where required
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Ensuring the school environment remains hygienic and presentable

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check is required
  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
  • Full training will be provided
