The operational spine of an AI-native People function. ICS.AI is the UK's market leader in AI for local government, partnering with 20+ councils and scaling from 50 to 100 people. We're hiring an experienced People Co-ordinator to make sure HR and Recruitment run cleanly, kindly and on time sitting equally across People and Talent Acquisition, and freeing the senior leads to focus on strategy, casework and hiring decisions.

This is a hands-on role in an AI-native business you'll be expected to use AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) confidently every day to draft, summarise, clean data and save time, and to champion practical AI adoption across the People team.

What you'll do:

  • Own interview scheduling, ATS hygiene and a friction-free candidate journey
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts, right-to-work checks and onboarding for new joiners
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records in Bamboo; joiners, movers, leavers, contract changes
  • Administer pension, leave, Vitality, EAP and Mental Health First Aider resources
  • Support delivery of our Staff Engagement & Retention Plan; 1:1 tracking, monthly pulse surveys, SLT coffee chats, recognition digest
  • Use AI tools daily to draft communications, summarise meetings and automate routine workflow

What you'll bring:

  • Proven HR and/or recruitment co-ordination experience combined or across two prior roles
  • Ruthless organisation; able to keep multiple deadlines and pipelines moving without prompting
  • Warm, human written and verbal communication, including in sensitive or confidential situations
  • Discretion and judgement when handling employee and candidate data
  • Digital fluency across ATS, HRIS (Bamboo or equivalent) and Microsoft 365
  • Confident daily use of AI assistants (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to draft, summarise and automate
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 desirable (not required)
