The predicted salary is between 19500 - 27000 £ per year.
We are looking for a flexible motivated individual to join this busy Hospital Unit. You will be required to work as a member of the Endoscopy Decontamination Team carrying out duties related to the provision of decontamination of flexible endoscopes, adhering to all Accredited policies and procedures. You will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours which will include half day working either morning or afternoon and working weekends on a rotated basis. Previous experience in a Sterile Service is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
The Unit is a modern, well equipped, 7 room, JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit responsible for the decontamination of all types of endoscopes in endoscopy and other areas within the hospital. We have over 30,000 procedures performed annually. The decontamination unit processes up to 100 scopes per day and is open 7 days including the whole Christmas period and all bank holidays throughout the year. Your main duties will be the correct processing and decontamination of a variety of endoscopes as dictated by local and national guidelines and ensuring traceability and storage.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Desirable NVQ3 (Technical Certificate Decontamination) qualification of endoscopy decontamination or equivalent knowledge and experience through decontamination training.
- Knowledge & Experience: Desirable knowledge and experience in the decontamination of reusable medical devices.
- Essential Skills: Ability to work as part of a team, ability to work accurately under pressure, ability to work to Standard Operating Procedures, set Guidelines and protocols at all times, a working knowledge of keyboard, typing and basic computer skills.
