University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) is seeking to appoint a permanent consultant to work with a committed team in our ENT Department. The main base for this position will be Royal Derby Hospital due to a weekday on call commitment at that site. However, timetabled activity will be split between UHDB sites. We are looking for someone who has thorough general specialty experience. The incumbent would be expected and encouraged to develop sub specialty interest to fit in with the needs of the department. An interest in Otology would be particularly desirable.
Main duties of the job
A strong commitment from the appointee to the department and involvement with activities within the department such as audit, appraisal and assessment, clinical governance and development of guidelines is expected. The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a team of consultants and will be required to contribute to the ongoing development of the ENT Department at UHDB. Applicants must hold a licence to practice at time of application.
