As a Senior Consultant within the Strategy & Consulting Practice, you will bring expertise in optimising PIM systems and processes to ensure accurate, consistent product data across channels. This includes analysing data structures, identifying improvement opportunities, designing governance strategies and solutions to streamline data flow and support implementation; ensuring initiatives are effectively operationalised. Working across multiple clients and projects, this role includes overseeing one of ICP’s most experienced client PIM teams. The focus is on driving operational improvements and defining a clear ICP roadmap of priorities and milestones, ensuring consistent progress. This will include actively supporting the team and client to develop and implement solutions.
In parallel, the role supports the team and client in unblocking issues and driving resolution, while using deep PIM expertise to upskill the team and strengthen ways of working. Close partnership with client’s PIM leadership is key to aligning priorities and delivering impact. As a product data SME, you will act as a trusted advisor, delivering specialised consultancy across both billable and non-billable work to support product data initiatives. You will stay up to date with industry trends and MarTech, with strong expertise across PIM and PXM solutions and best practices. Bringing a strategic perspective, you will confidently navigate technical challenges with a structured, problem-solving approach.
The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, multi-year consultancy delivery experience, strong communication, a proactive mindset and confident client-facing engagement to manage day-to-day operations while unlocking larger opportunities. This position reports to the Group Director, Client Strategy and is based in London.
Key Responsibilities:- Client leadership & delivery: Act as the Senior operational client contact, managing relationships, expectations, and delivery of high-quality consultancy across projects (e.g. workshops, analysis, research).
- PIM team leadership & optimisation: Lead a client PIM team, driving operational improvements, advancing ways of working, and providing expert guidance on best practice and issue resolution.
- Strategic consulting & outputs: Develop and deliver key consulting artefacts (e.g. discovery outputs, roadmaps, requirements, process maps) and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Data & process transformation: Analyse data models, identify opportunities for process, technology, and data optimisation, and define the changes required to implement improvements.
- Stakeholder engagement & change delivery: Engage across cross-functional stakeholders, articulate recommendations, manage change readiness, and oversee impact tracking and reporting.
- Project governance & delivery excellence: Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring strong communication, risk management, and consistent, high-quality delivery to client stakeholders.
- Partner with CoE Consultants and Solution Leads to develop and embed industry best practices, toolkits, and thought leadership.
- Deliver product data and digital shelf insights through targeted analysis and research.
- Use best practice expertise to challenge and improve legacy or inefficient ways of working.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams to establish additional best practices and ensure alignment with ICP's strategic objectives.
- Develop deep partnerships and relationships across our Solutions and Client Services Group, encouraging knowledge-sharing, and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Lead or support high-profile client delivery programs, especially for strategic engagements.
- Demonstrate expertise in communicating with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience in consulting across technology, process, or transformation (e.g. marketing, commerce, content or media operations).
- Strong client-facing consulting or agency experience (5+ years).
- Proven experience with Salsify (required); other platforms a plus.
- Solid understanding of PIM and product data management across the full lifecycle (intake to syndication).
- Well versed in PIM and PXM industry vendors and latest best practices.
- Knowledge of taxonomies, product hierarchies, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with content operations, digital shelf/e-commerce, and wider MarTech ecosystems.
- Experience delivering global programmes with cross-market stakeholders.
- Previous team leadership / line management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including senior client engagement.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to lead and align teams to deliver against shared goals.
- Ability to simplify complex challenges and lead structured discussions.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with curiosity and a focus on innovation.
- Proven project and programme management capability.
