The Opportunity:

This is a rare opportunity for a proven leader to shape and scale one of the UK’s most exciting sports tech ventures.

The CEO will drive strategic growth, lead investor engagement, and ensure the company delivers on its commercial ambitions, building a high-performing culture around innovation, accountability, and excellence.

Reporting directly to the Board, this individual will act as the primary face of the company to investors, clients, and partners, steering both vision and execution during a defining period of scale-up and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and execute a bold vision for growth, innovation, and market differentiation in the global sports tech ecosystem.
  • Translate ambition into a clear operational roadmap, aligning product, commercial, and finance functions behind shared objectives.

Investor & Board Relations:

  • Lead the Series B raise, managing relationships with venture capital and private equity partners.
  • Build and deliver compelling investment materials, financial models, and performance updates to the Board and investors.

Commercial Growth:

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships with sports organisations, broadcasters, and data platforms.
  • Identify and pursue new monetisation opportunities across B2B and B2C channels.

Team & Culture:

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and ambitious company culture that attracts top talent and drives results.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee financial health, operational discipline, and governance, ensuring scalable processes that enable sustainable growth.
  • Monitor KPIs, unit economics, and business performance to inform strategic decision-making.

Experience & Profile

  • Proven success as CEO, Managing Director, or Commercial Leader within a sports technology, media technology, or data platform business.
  • Strong record of scaling growth-stage ventures and leading successful Series A/B/C fundraises.
  • Deep understanding of the sports tech ecosystem, specifically with established credibility and relationships across investors, federations, leagues, and tech innovators.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and operational discipline.
  • Skilled communicator, able to inspire confidence with investors, boards, and teams alike.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: resilient, visionary, and hands-on when needed.
