We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Investment Banking Analyst to support our U.S.-based investment banking team in financial modeling, market analysis, transaction execution, and client presentations. This fully remote position requires strong quantitative skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related financial field.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Build and maintain advanced financial models (DCF, LBO, M&A models, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Perform valuation analysis and scenario modeling to support deal recommendations.
- Assist in creating capital structure models and sensitivity analyses.
- Pitchbook & Presentation Development
- Prepare investor presentations, pitchbooks, management presentations, and marketing materials.
- Summarise complex financial and industry information into clear, structured materials for clients and senior bankers.
- Support the creation of client proposals and transaction teasers.
- Deal Execution Support
- Assist in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, equity offerings, debt financing, and restructuring assignments.
- Prepare diligence materials, data rooms, and information memorandums (IM/CIM).
- Support buy-side and sell-side transaction processes by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Market & Industry Research
- Conduct industry research, competitive landscape analysis, and benchmarking studies.
- Track market developments, economic trends, and regulatory impacts relevant to active deal pipelines.
- Build industry databases and maintain up-to-date research resources.
- Client Support & Communication
- Participate in client meetings, due diligence calls, and internal review sessions (virtually).
- Provide timely updates and deliverables to senior bankers.
- Communicate insights and recommendations with clarity and precision.
- Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Associates, VPs, Directors, and Managing Directors to support deal progress.
- Prepare internal reports, pipeline trackers, and weekly updates.
- Maintain strong organization of financial files, models, and transaction documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 1β3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, consulting, or financial modelling.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Financial modeling (Excel)
- PowerPoint (pitchbook creation)
- Capital markets concepts
- Accounting and valuation principles
