We’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Editor to engage and grow our global audience across platforms. The ideal candidate lives and breathes sport on social media, has a journalistic or sports editorial background, knows how to craft platform-native content that resonates and drives engagement, and can lead our daily content output with energy, precision, and strategic flair.
Key Responsibilities- Content Creation & Management
- Develop, own and execute an engaging, platform-specific content calendar.
- Evolve the distinct editorial social tone of the brand.
- Create compelling text, image, and video content that reflects the Icons brand voice.
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-impact visuals and reels.
- Curate relevant content from players, partners, and trending sports media.
- Deliver against clear KPIs including engagement, reach, and follower growth.
- Frame content in a way that fits the brand’s tone and audience development & engagement.
- Ideate, develop and deliver multi-platform social content that feels consistently “on-brand” for Icons.
- Community Management
- Actively engage with followers: reply to comments, DMs, and mentions.
- Foster a strong and positive online community around the Icons brand.
- Use best practices to grow the audience across each platform.
- Monitor brand sentiment, flag issues, and help manage potential crises.
- Platform Oversight
- Manage and optimise performance on: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn.
- Analytics & Optimisation
- Track performance and deliver regular reports on reach, engagement, and audience growth.
- Stay up to date with platform trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
- Make data-led decisions to evolve strategy and improve results.
- 5+ years of experience in social media or digital content roles.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and creator tools.
- Skilled communicator and sharp copywriter.
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere) preferred.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working fast.
- Experience working with talent, athletes, or high-profile brands is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during event weeks.
- Awareness of content rights and usage restrictions across platforms.
- A passion for sport and a strong understanding of sports culture online.
- Knowledge of golf and golfing culture preferred.
