Our Client, a Financial company, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst for their Richmond, VA/ McLean, VA/ Hybrid location.

Responsibilities

  • The aim of this role is to help the business risk offices automate some of their existing manual processes and controls.
  • The applicant will be passionate about helping other Business Risk Offices mitigate their existing pain points through automation.
  • They will also be helping with improving efficiency as part of automation of the processes/controls.
  • Today's processes and the controls owned by the different organizations are tested manually and are sample based.
  • As a result, the current state quality, availability and flexibility is not dynamic enough to support the business or actively monitor and mitigate risk.
  • This role will extend to driving improvements in quality, moving towards full population testing instead of sample based and creation of interactive dashboards.

Requirements

  • Automate the existing manual controls (SOX and Non-SOX controls) in place and drive improvements in terms of efficiency, moving to better monitoring model.
  • Adoption of automated reporting tools and opportunities to leverage data available through new systems.
  • Able to work independently - work with risk associates to identify processes/controls to automate, work on the design and create automated solutions.
  • Understands all the latest data storage and retrieval options (Dynamo-db, Red-shift, PostgreSQL).
  • Strong knowledge on AWS ecosystem (comfortable spinning up automated solutions leveraging AWS resources).
  • Strong in coding (Python or any other language).
  • Experience working with BI tools like Tableau or Qlikview.

Job Specific Skills - Python, SQL, Redshift/Snowflake, Terraform/AWS CFT service.

Certifications - AWS Certified Developer (preferable).
