As an Electrical Apprentice at ICoNiChem, you'll gain hands‑on experience maintaining, testing and repairing industrial electrical systems on an Upper Tier COMAH site. Learn from experienced engineers, work with modern technologies, and complete accredited training including First Aid, FLT, MEWPs and Confined Space Entry.

What You'll Do:

  • Support planned preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities on a variety of electrical systems and critical production equipment.
  • Assist with the calibration, testing, and maintenance of process instrumentation, including temperature, flow, level, and pressure measurement devices.
  • Develop fault‑finding skills through the use of electrical drawings, diagnostic equipment, and structured problem‑solving techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Help to build, wire, modify, and install electrical control panels and associated control systems.
  • Contribute to installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects that enhance plant reliability, operational performance, and safety.
  • Learn how to safely plan, document, and complete maintenance activities in accordance with permit‑to‑work procedures, isolation standards, and COMAH site safety requirements.
  • Work alongside experienced electrical, mechanical, production, and engineering professionals to solve technical challenges and support the safe operation of a major chemical manufacturing facility.
