Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package
Carpenters Group is continuing to invest in Scotland, and their Glasgow team is expanding. If you’re an experienced Solicitor with a passion for litigation and RTA Personal Injury work, this is your chance to get in early and grow with them.
This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to work on a broad range of RTA matters (Pursuer-led with some Defender work), including litigated cases at Sheriff Court and ASPIC level, within a firm that truly values its people.
Your day-to-day:
- Managing a caseload of RTA Pursuer claims (including pre-litigation and some Defender matters).
- Handling both PI and non-PI RTA cases, with a focus on progressing litigated claims through the Sheriff Court and ASPIC.
- Providing high-quality, timely legal advice to clients and managing expectations throughout the process.
- Identifying cases suitable for litigation early and pursuing them proactively.
- Taking a pragmatic approach to settlement discussions and cost-risk analysis.
- Liaising with medical experts, insurers, defenders’ solicitors and other key stakeholders.
- Thriving in a performance-focused but supportive team environment.
- Hitting and exceeding KPIs around settlement, profit costs, and issuing.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience handling RTA Personal Injury cases under the Scottish Protocol.
- Skilled in both PI and non-PI RTA work pre-litigation.
- Confident in drafting and running litigated RTA cases (mainly Pursuer side) at Sheriff Court level.
- Adept with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Clear communicator who builds great client relationships.
- A self-starter who’s equally comfortable working independently and in a team.
