What you’ll do
- You’ll lead the delivery of high-quality VAT advisory projects across a wide range of technical areas, including land and property, financial services, partial exemption, international matters, and transactional support.
- Alongside advisory work, you’ll manage VAT disputes and support clients through enquiries, alternative dispute resolution, and, where required, litigation.
- You’ll work closely with colleagues across tax, audit, and corporate finance to deliver joined-up solutions on multidisciplinary engagements.
- You’ll also play an active role in developing client relationships and growing the VAT offering, contributing to business development through networking, referrals, and identifying new opportunities within an existing client base.
What you’ll need
- Strong experience in VAT advisory gained within a practice environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of UK VAT legislation and case law.
- Experience handling VAT disputes and engaging with HMRC.
- Confidence advising clients on complex and technical VAT issues.
- A commercially minded approach with strong communication skills.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.
- Motivation to lead your own work, develop your expertise, and contribute to growth.
