We are working with a well established and highly regarded Edinburgh based practice to recruit an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director into their Private Client team. This is a senior appointment within a close knit but growing team, offering a strong platform for progression and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the department. The firm has an excellent reputation in private client work and a loyal, high quality client base, providing immediate access to a broad and rewarding caseload.
This role is ideally suited to a senior solicitor seeking greater autonomy, high quality work, and a clear pathway toward long term progression.
The Role
- You will take on a key position within a collaborative and supportive team, managing your own caseload while contributing to the continued growth of the private client offering.
- Wills and estate planning
- Powers of attorney
- Executry administration
- Trusts and succession planning
- Advising on long term care and related matters
You will also be encouraged to build and maintain client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives, and enhance your presence in the market, with support from an experienced and well regarded leadership team.
About You
- A Scottish qualified solicitor with c10 years PQE in Private Client
- Experienced across the full spectrum of private client work
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload independently
- Confident in a client facing role, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercially aware, with an interest in contributing to team growth
- STEP qualification (or a willingness to undertake this, with support) would be highly advantageous.
- You will also be personable, proactive, and collaborative in your approach, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with clients.
