Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be supporting a reputable and forward-thinking legal firm in their search for a paralegal to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take ownership of their own caseload while also working closely with experienced directors and legal professionals.
In this key role, you’ll manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters under the supervision of a director. You’ll also support wider team activity across conveyancing and business purchase/sale transactions. It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires a confident communicator and a strong understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing files under director supervision
- Take client instructions and guide them through documentation and execution
- Liaise with third parties such as estate agents, brokers and surveyors
- Draft conveyancing documentation including missives and deeds
- Order and analyse property searches and reports
- Draft and submit Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) returns
- Register title deeds, including first registrations and transfers of part
- Conduct AML checks and assess source of funds and wealth
- Attend to the settlement of transactions and distribution of proceeds
- Assist directors and qualified staff on business purchase/sale transactions
- Prepare progress reports for directors in relation to your workload
- Provide general support to directors and colleagues, especially during holiday periods
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and data protection requirements
- Maintain client files in accordance with the firm’s Data Protection Policy
