My client is seeking a talented and thoughtful individual to join their growing team, working across property, private client, and Wills/Estates. This is not a conventional high street or commercial practice; they operate differently, and they are looking for someone who thrives in that environment.
The role blends residential conveyancing, lending law, and private client work, often involving matters that don’t neatly fit into one category. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, solving unusual problems, and developing deep technical expertise.
More than PQE, mindset is key. This could suit someone early in their career who is intellectually sharp, pragmatic, and curious. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in property law, Wills, and supporting conveyancing, with the ambition to grow broader technical skills in private client work. This could be the right role for someone who isn’t naturally "front-of-house" but has a serious, thoughtful approach and is passionate about becoming an expert.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a varied caseload of transactions and advisory work
- Supporting property teams with crossover issues from a private client perspective
- Advising on ownership structures, property rights within estates, and estate administration
- Drafting and advising on wills, powers of attorney, and guardianship applications
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices
- A qualified Scottish solicitor with a grounding in conveyancing and private client work
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in cross-disciplinary matters
- Detail-focused, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
