This is a key role, managing customer invoicing, cash allocation, and credit control to ensure a healthy cash flow and accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be experienced, meticulous, and driven to deliver high-quality work. You'll take ownership of your responsibilities, work systematically, and communicate confidently with colleagues and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities- Raise and issue accurate, timely sales invoices.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain up-to-date debtor records.
- Allocate cash receipts and monitor overdue accounts, following up where necessary.
- Liaise with Account Managers to ensure invoicing reflects completed work and month-end checks.
- Produce debtor reports and provide insights for management review.
- Resolve invoicing and payment queries promptly and professionally.
- Raise sales and credit notes, with exposure to CIS valuations.
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger, or credit control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
- Confident communicator with both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Experience using Xero (including Xero Go), with the ability to support configuration if needed.
- Skilled at prioritising and managing your own workload.
- Understanding of the construction industry and consolidated invoicing is advantageous.
