Role Overview

As HR Coordinator, you will support the day to day running of the HR function, acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers. The role offers genuine variety and visibility, with a mixture of coordination, administration and project based work. A major element of the position is supporting payroll preparation each month, ensuring data is accurate and complete across two systems. You will also contribute to recruitment processes, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration and activities focused on wellbeing, engagement and internal events. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being organised, helpful and central to how a busy HR team operates.

Key Duties

  • Supporting monthly payroll preparation and data checks across two HR systems
  • Managing the HR inbox and responding to first line queries from employees and managers
  • Maintaining HR systems and ensuring records remain accurate and compliant
  • Preparing HR documentation including contracts, letters and changes
  • Supporting recruitment activity and coordinating onboarding
  • Assisting with employee lifecycle processes such as new starters, leavers and changes
  • Supporting wellbeing, charity and engagement initiatives
  • Helping to organise internal events and general recognition activity
  • Contributing to HR projects, policy updates and process improvement alongside supporting the Managing Director and the wider East Kilbride site

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in HR administration or coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence handling data, particularly around payroll
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • A proactive, positive approach and willingness to learn
  • Maturity, discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information
  • Comfortable working in a down to earth, non corporate environment
  • A familiarity with both HR systems and other systems, be data-driven and comfortable providing and interpreting reports
  • You will ideally be educated to graduate level, and be able to work independently on projects to improve the HR provision at Mentholatum
  • Interest in building HR capability and developing long term HR skills
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it) is beneficial but not essential.
