My client is a thriving, independent accountancy practice based in the heart of Glasgow and we’re on the lookout for a Trainee Accountant to join our growing team.

About the Role
This is your chance to gain real, hands-on experience across a wide range of sectors and clients – all while being mentored by a close-knit team of experienced professionals.
You’ll be working on:
- Preparing year-end accounts for a mix of companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Cloud-based bookkeeping using platforms like Xero, Sage Business Cloud, and Sage 50
- Preparing VAT returns and helping clients stay ahead of deadlines
- Supporting senior team members on bespoke projects and client queries
- Ensuring compliance and quality are always top priorities
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, driven, and has a genuine interest in growing their accounting career.
You’ll ideally have:
- Around 2 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Progress towards an accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, AAT, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- A collaborative spirit – but you can also manage your time independently
