We're supporting a well-established Glasgow based organisation in the appointment of an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee a complex, high-volume payroll function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously and acting as the subject matter expert within the business.
Reporting into senior finance leadership and managing a Payroll Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a varied workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the end-to-end payroll function.
- Processing payroll payments and ensuring robust controls are in place.
- Completing monthly reconciliations and supporting year-end audit requirements.
- Producing payroll analysis, reports and management information.
- Acting as the key contact for payroll, pensions, taxation and employment-related queries.
- Working closely with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Managing pay awards, increments and statutory returns.
- Supporting payroll systems upgrades, improvements and future implementations.
- Line managing and developing a Payroll Administrator.
- Significant end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment.
- Strong technical payroll knowledge and understanding of current legislation.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience using payroll systems and driving process improvements.
- Previous leadership or people management experience.
