We're supporting a well-established Glasgow based organisation in the appointment of an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee a complex, high-volume payroll function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously and acting as the subject matter expert within the business. Reporting into senior finance leadership and managing a Payroll Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a varied workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end payroll function.
  • Processing payroll payments and ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Completing monthly reconciliations and supporting year-end audit requirements.
  • Producing payroll analysis, reports and management information.
  • Acting as the key contact for payroll, pensions, taxation and employment-related queries.
  • Working closely with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Managing pay awards, increments and statutory returns.
  • Supporting payroll systems upgrades, improvements and future implementations.
  • Line managing and developing a Payroll Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Significant end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment.
  • Strong technical payroll knowledge and understanding of current legislation.
