Advanta Group is a growing, multi-entity professional services organisation operating across wealth management, risk and mortgages. Through continued growth and acquisition activity, the business has evolved into a diverse group structure with increasingly complex payroll, compensation and reward requirements across multiple entities.

As part of this continued evolution, Advanta is now looking to appoint a Payroll & Reward Specialist into a newly created role within the People function. This role has been created to bring greater ownership, structure and governance to payroll and reward activity as the business continues to scale. This is not a traditional payroll processing role. While payroll oversight is part of the remit, the focus is on managing complexity, strengthening controls and supporting the transition of payroll and compensation activity away from a historically finance led model into a more people focused function.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable working in an environment where processes and remuneration structures are still evolving, rather than within a highly standardised or fully centralised global organisation. The emphasis is less on high-volume processing and more on oversight, governance, reconciliation, accuracy and bringing greater consistency and structure to payroll and reward activity across the Group.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes and working collaboratively to help build more scalable, robust ways of working as the business continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience operating within payroll, compensation/reward environments with multiple moving parts and stakeholder groups
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliation and compliance processes
  • Comfortable working within evolving environments where processes and systems may still be developing
  • Strong Excel and data handling capability
  • High attention to detail with a naturally analytical and process-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Experience within acquisitive, SME or multi-entity businesses would be highly advantageous

Why Join Advanta?

This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation at a key stage of its evolution, in a role where you can genuinely shape and influence how payroll and reward operations are structured for the future. You’ll gain exposure to acquisition and integration activity and play a visible role in building more scalable and effective people processes across the Group.
