We are working with an established UK-based business who works on complex, project-led work and is known for its reliable delivery, attention to detail, and commitment to safe and professional working practices.

Purpose of the Role

To manage customer invoicing, cash allocation, and debt collection activities, ensuring accurate financial records and healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and issue sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions
  • Liaise with internal account and project teams to confirm completed works and perform month-end system checks
  • Allocate cash receipts and maintain accurate debtor records
  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Produce debtor and aged debt reports for management review
  • Resolve customer invoicing and account queries
  • Raise sales invoices and credit notes
  • Gain exposure to CIS valuations
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider finance team
  • Work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, including senior leadership

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger, or credit control
  • Experience with consolidated invoicing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience using Xero (including Xero Go); involvement in system configuration is desirable
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
  • Understanding of the construction or project-based environment
