We are delighted to be working in partnership with a prominent UK law firm to recruit an Associate into their market leading Real Estate team based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The team is widely recognised for advising UK and international clients on high value investment and development transactions across a range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative team, working alongside specialists across banking, corporate, construction and planning to deliver a fully integrated service on complex and high profile matters.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced Partners and senior colleagues on a broad range of commercial property transactions, with a particular focus on investment, development and asset management work across sectors including offices, industrial, retail and the Living Sector. The role offers exposure to high value and often cross border transactions, where you will be involved in acquisitions and disposals, development projects, leasing and asset management work, as well as supporting on the real estate aspects of corporate deals and financing transactions. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own matters, manage client relationships, and contribute to the supervision and development of more junior team members, alongside playing an active role in business development initiatives.

The Candidate

The firm is keen to speak with solicitors around and from 4 years’ PQE with a strong background in Scottish commercial property. Experience handling investment and development transactions is desirable, alongside a commercial and pragmatic approach to delivering client solutions. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, as is an interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
