Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be representing a leading firm with a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Disputes Lawyer to join their Property and Infrastructure Disputes team. This role offers flexibility to be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with hybrid working arrangements available.
As part of one of the firm’s five Contentious Construction teams, you will be part of a busy and specialist practice, handling complex disputes across the UK construction and engineering sector. With a focus on infrastructure, energy, and civil engineering, the team represents major clients in sectors such as power, rail, renewables, commercial and residential development, and more.
This role involves representing high-profile employer, contractor, and sub-contractor clients across a range of dispute resolution methods, including adjudication, mediation, arbitration, expert determination, and court proceedings, primarily in the Court of Session in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality advice on complex issues to sophisticated commercial clients.
- Support clients in achieving their commercial objectives by providing bespoke solutions to disputes.
- Represent clients in formal dispute proceedings and ADR across the UK.
- Assist in drafting settlements and dispute-related agreements.
- Collaborate with experienced solicitors to further your career in a supportive, high-quality environment.
- Demonstrates strong legal knowledge and can identify issues beyond expertise, seeking appropriate support.
- Provides client-focused solutions with minimum guidance.
- Manages work efficiently to meet objectives within timescales and budgets.
