This is a pivotal role that will shape the future of finance operations across a truly global organisation. In this position you'll have end-to-end ownership of all finance operations functional projects, working closely with the Global Finance Process Director and key stakeholders across all regions.
Key Responsibilities- Process Ownership & Transformation: Lead finance transformation projects from concept to delivery, defining standard operating procedures, target operating models, and functional capabilities. Identify substantial improvement opportunities in efficiency, controls, and process efficacy, driving innovative solutions. Support legacy system migration to transformed processes and technology platforms, working with the CDO and data teams. Benchmark internal processes against best practices to ensure futureproof solutions and continuous improvement culture.
- Management Information & Reporting: Design and deploy insightful monthly management reporting and analysis across Finance Operations. Review financial and operational data, KPIs, and dashboards to showcase performance and identify productivity improvements. Coordinate regional Budget/Reforecast processes, liaising with FP&A and Senior Regional Financial Controllers.
- Systems Management: Manage all Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations configuration updates including tax changes, LE builds, and system enhancements. Successfully deliver annual D365 service updates. Coordinate testing plans and strategies aligned with system updates and project requirements.
- Business Improvement & Leadership: Drive continuous improvement focus across Finance Operations, delivering productivity gains. Champion SThree's Operating and Leadership Principles, modelling expected behaviours. Sponsor and execute change management initiatives, supporting others to embrace change.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong relationships with Exco, Regional MDs, Support Directors, and collaborate across functions and regions. Partner with Technology, Marketing, Finance, Audit, HR, Reward, TA, and L&D to maximise performance. Develop integrated solutions that avoid duplication while delivering best outcomes.
- Fully Qualified Accountant or QBE with significant relevant experience.
- Deep knowledge of accounting end-to-end processes including month-end, chart of accounts design, reporting, FP&A, and consolidation.
- Prior experience with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations (system configuration, enhancements, and management).
- Proven track record leading finance projects, driving improvement, system selection, and change management.
- Experience managing multinational and global initiatives with cross-functional, culturally diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, identify efficiencies, and streamline processes (particularly automation).
- Strong project management credentials with successful execution aligned to strategic priorities.
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with operational stakeholders.
