Interim HR Advisor – 6‑Month FTC
Location: Burntisland (Hybrid – currently 4 days onsite)
Salary: £38,000–£40,000

I’m delighted to be partnering exclusively with Briggs Marine, a long‑established, family‑owned organisation in Fife, to recruit an Interim HR Advisor for a full-time 6‑month FTC. This role suits someone who thrives in a structured, high‑volume HR environment, enjoys hands‑on ER casework, and is confident improving processes while supporting a busy operational team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and advise on a high‑volume employee relations caseload (essential)
- Lead or oversee elements of the Civica MyHR system implementation to free up internal resource
- Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance to managers while improving processes and workflows
- Act as a supervisor to two HR Administrators, offering support, guidance and oversight
- Review and correct approximately current HR workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Produce accurate HR documentation, notes and correspondence
- Ensure compliance with employment law, company policy and best practice
What we’re looking for:
- Solid background as an HR Advisor
- Proven experience managing ER casework end‑to‑end — this is essential
- Strong administrative capability with excellent organisation and accuracy
- Confident, proactive and motivated by improving systems and processes
- Experience working with or supporting HR systems/projects is an advantage
- Able to work onsite in Burntisland 3–4 days per week (team hybrid model under review)
