If you want progression without constant pressure, this is the kind of role that’s hard to find. You’ll step into a growing firm where audit is genuinely valued, your development is taken seriously, and long hours aren’t worn as a badge of honour. You’ll work on high-quality audit clients, gain broad exposure, and be trusted to get on with the job in a flexible, adult working environment. With no chargeable timesheets, a sensible 35-hour week, and hybrid working built on trust, this is a role that lets you progress your career without sacrificing your life outside work.
What you’ll do
- You’ll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners while having real responsibility for delivery.
- You’ll be involved in audits of larger, well-established businesses, gaining exposure well beyond the typical SME audit experience.
- Alongside the technical work, you’ll support and coach junior team members, helping to review work, answer questions, and build confidence within the team.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your experience across accounts and advisory work if that’s something you’re keen to develop.
What you’ll need
- You’ll be ACA / CA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified, with solid audit experience gained in a practice environment.
- You’ll be confident running audits from planning stage to completion, comfortable dealing with clients, and keen to take the next step in a firm that offers real progression rather than rigid hierarchies.
