You’ll have the autonomy to shape your working week around what works best for you, supported by hybrid flexibility, realistic hours, and a grown-up culture that values trust, experience, and outcomes over red tape. This role offers a senior leadership position within a growing, independent firm where audit is a core strength and highly valued. You’ll have real influence over the direction of the audit practice, the shape of the client portfolio, and the future growth of the firm as it continues its ambitious expansion. Your experience and judgement will be recognised and relied upon. With a collaborative leadership team and a strong pipeline of high-quality audit work, you’ll be able to focus on what matters most: client relationships, technical quality, and developing people, while building a long-term platform for your career.
What you’ll do
- You’ll lead and sign off a portfolio of audit clients, primarily larger owner-managed and mid-market businesses, taking responsibility for audit quality, client relationships, and delivery standards.
- Alongside client work, you’ll play a key role in the leadership of the audit practice, supporting the development of junior and senior team members, contributing to audit methodology and best practice, and helping to shape the firm’s continued growth in audit.
- There is also scope to be involved in business development and strategic decision-making, working closely with fellow RIs and partners to strengthen the firm’s market presence and expand the audit offering as the business grows.
What you’ll need
- RI status or the ability to obtain RI status
- Strong audit background gained within a UK accountancy practice
- Experience leading and signing off audits for larger companies
- Confidence managing client relationships at senior level
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on quality and people development
- Ambition to play a meaningful role in the growth of an independent firm
