We are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded international law firm to recruit an Associate into their expanding Healthcare and Insurance Litigation team based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading practice recognised within the legal directories for its expertise across clinical negligence, historic abuse, product liability and professional discipline matters. The team acts for major insurers, indemnifiers, healthcare professionals, local authorities and charities across a broad range of complex and sensitive litigation matters.

The Role

You will manage a mixed caseload of clinical negligence and abuse claims, supporting clients through often challenging and high-profile matters within a collaborative and specialist environment. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of litigation work, alongside the opportunity to work closely with highly experienced practitioners across healthcare litigation, regulatory matters, public inquiries and complex dispute resolution. You will regularly communicate with clients, support litigation strategy, draft legal documentation and contribute towards delivering a high standard of client care across both litigated and pre-litigated matters. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone looking to further develop within a growing and evolving area of law where the work is both technically challenging and highly meaningful.

About You

The firm is keen to hear from Solicitors ranging from NQ level through to 5 years’ PQE with litigation experience gained within personal injury, insurance litigation, clinical negligence or broader dispute resolution environments. Previous exposure to clinical negligence or abuse claims would be advantageous, although not essential. You will be a confident communicator with strong organisational and analytical skills, capable of working effectively within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will enjoy tackling complex legal issues, developing technical expertise and delivering a highly professional service to clients.
