Iconic Resourcing are recruiting for one of Glasgow\’s leading employers, a well-established and dynamic organisation, seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Financial Reporting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting statutory accountants, and ensuring critical deadlines are met. You’ll play a key part in delivering statutory accounts, board reports, and technical accounting papers, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. On offer is a strong salary and benefits package including hybrid working. Key Responsibilities Review statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Lead coordination with external auditors for group and UK audits. Oversee the preparation and review of board and regulatory reports. Prepare and review technical accounting papers. Provide technical support to the statutory accountants. Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards. Review Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations. Contribute to ad-hoc projects. Previous Experience Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAS/CIMA or equivalent). Proficiency in UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS is highly desirable. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex accounting concepts. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
