We're supporting a well-established UK engineering organisation as they look to bring in an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial two-month contract, with an immediate start available.
This is a hands-on role within a busy finance team, ideal for someone who enjoys a steady workflow, is comfortable handling high volumes of invoices and can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
The role will involve:
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Matching, batching and coding invoices in line with company procedures.
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.
- Responding to supplier queries and building positive working relationships.
- Keeping on top of a busy workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential.
- Confidence working in a high-volume invoice processing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A proactive, reliable approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Someone who can get up to speed quickly and make an immediate contribution.
