Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid/Flexible Working)

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 + Benefits

The Role:

  • Manage your own caseload of litigated defender motor claims from initial instruction through to trial, handling all procedural aspects of the litigation process.
  • Draft pleadings, assess liability and quantum, value personal injury claims using Judicial College Guidelines and relevant case law, negotiate settlements and prepare witness statements for court proceedings.
  • Regularly liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, policyholders, Counsel and the courts while ensuring all client SLA and reporting requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute towards wider team collaboration and support the delivery of a high standard of client service across the practice.

About You:

  • The firm is keen to hear from experienced Paralegals or Senior Paralegals with previous motor/RTA litigation experience gained within a defender or insurance litigation environment.
  • You will be highly organised, capable of managing a busy caseload and confident handling litigated matters independently.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • The successful candidate will be collaborative, commercially aware and committed to delivering a high-quality service to clients.
