We are working with a leading insurance litigation practice to recruit a Solicitor and Associate into their specialist Large Loss and Catastrophic Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing and growing team, working alongside highly experienced individuals on some of the most complex and high value matters in the market.
The role offers a strong balance of high quality work, client exposure, and genuine flexibility, making it an ideal move for a solicitor looking to deepen their expertise without compromising on work life balance.
The Role
- Handling a caseload of large loss and catastrophic injury claims, often exceeding £1m, including employers’ liability, public liability, and road traffic accident claims
- Advising insurer clients on liability, quantum, and indemnity issues
- Supporting on complex and sensitive matters, including fatal claims
- Drafting pleadings, reports, and technical advice
- Analysing medical and expert evidence in detail
- Attending client meetings, mediations, and settlement discussions
You will also have the opportunity to mentor more junior team members and contribute to the wider success and profile of the team.
About You
- A Scottish qualified solicitor with experience in personal injury
- Confident managing your own caseload and engaging directly with clients
- A strong communicator with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
