We're supporting a well-established Glasgow-based organisation in the appointment of an experienced payroll professional to oversee a busy, complex payroll function on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively across teams and acting as a key payroll contact within the business.
Whilst the role has management responsibilities, we're open to considering strong payroll professionals who may not have previously managed a team but can demonstrate extensive end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment.
The role will involve:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processes across a varied workforce
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Completing monthly reconciliations and supporting year-end activities
- Producing payroll reports, analysis and management information
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll, pensions, taxation and employee queries
- Working closely with HR, Finance and wider business stakeholders
- Supporting pay awards, salary changes and statutory submissions
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
- Providing support and guidance to a Payroll Administrator

- Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a large or complex organisation
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
