We're supporting a well-established Glasgow-based organisation in the appointment of an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee a complex, high-volume payroll function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously and acting as the subject matter expert within the business.
Reporting into senior finance leadership and managing a Payroll Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a varied workforce. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end payroll function
- Processing payroll payments and ensuring robust controls are in place
- Completing monthly reconciliations and supporting year-end audit requirements
- Producing payroll analysis, reports and management information
- Acting as the key contact for payroll, pensions, taxation and employment-related queries
- Working closely with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Managing pay awards, increments and statutory returns
- Supporting payroll systems upgrades, improvements and future implementations
- Line managing and developing a Payroll Administrator
