This is an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional who enjoys collaborating with people, building strong relationships and influencing positive behaviours. You'll be equally comfortable carrying out site inspections, supporting audits and investigations, and engaging with colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
The Role
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety processes and procedures
- Conducting site inspections across operational locations throughout Scotland
- Assisting with risk assessments, RAMS reviews and safe systems of work
- Supporting incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Assisting with internal audits and compliance activities
- Maintaining health and safety records, documentation and reporting requirements
- Supporting the business in meeting ISO 45001 standards and best practice
- Delivering health and safety guidance, training and awareness initiatives
- Building positive working relationships with employees, site teams, managers and directors
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- IOSH qualification as a minimum
- Health and safety experience gained in any industry sector
- Knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance processes
- A good understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
- Exposure to management systems such as ISO 45001, or an understanding of their importance would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to challenge when required while maintaining positive working relationships
- A collaborative, pragmatic and approachable style
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland when required
