Temporary Receptionist – Part-Time

We’re currently recruiting for a Temporary Receptionist to provide part-time cover within a professional and welcoming organisation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced receptionist or administrator who enjoys being the first point of contact and is confident creating a warm, professional experience for visitors and colleagues.
The Role
Working as part of a small reception team, you’ll provide essential front-of-house support and help ensure the reception area runs smoothly.
The role will initially involve absence cover, with the potential for further temporary work supporting the business.
The working pattern is slightly different to a traditional part-time role, with 2.5 days per week shared across the reception team. The rota currently operates on a split-week basis, with one person working Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday, and the other covering the remainder of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The exact hours are currently being finalised, with the anticipated working day being approximately 7am–5pm, although there may be flexibility around the start time for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Providing a warm, friendly and professional welcome to visitors and colleagues
Managing the reception area and acting as the first point of contact
Answering and directing telephone calls and enquiries
Supporting general reception and administrative duties
Ensuring visitors are appropriately welcomed and supported
Working closely with colleagues to ensure effective handovers
Providing additional support during periods of holiday and sickness absence
