About You as a Receptionist:

  • Experience in working within 4* or 5* hotels is desirable
  • Previous use of Opera Cloud is desirable
  • Well‑presented and full of personality is key
  • Keen eye for detail to make our guests feel welcome
  • Confidence with communicating with guests and colleagues
  • Passion to go above and beyond at every step

Aim of the Receptionist role:

To undertake Reception duties ensuring the department is efficient and profitable, and ensuring that guests' needs are met where possible.

Responsibilities Of Receptionist:

  • Take pride in ensuring the wellbeing, satisfaction and comfort of all guests
  • Establish a highly personalised style of service and attention to guests in keeping with the atmosphere of a luxury hotel
  • Provide a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude to all guests at all times and to be confident to use guest names at every available opportunity
  • Maintain a high standard in personal appearance and demeanour
  • Have a good working knowledge of all departments of the Hotel
  • Be confident in full understanding of all systems within Front Office including Opera Cloud, Knowcross, Microsoft Office
  • Be familiar with all reservation tasks in order to cover if required
  • Be knowledgeable of the London market inc. accommodation, F&B and other local services
  • Record all relevant comments of appreciation, suggestions and maintenance
  • Ensure correct hand‑over procedure of the day's business with regard to cover and cashiering
  • Work with the Concierge team to provide ultimate guest experience
