We are looking for an evening Spa Attendant to join our award winning hotel in Hampshire.

Chewton Glen is a true English original. From the unique 72 bedrooms including 14 one of a kind Treehouses, to the award-winning spa and state of the art James Martin cookery school, it has an abundance of ways to revive your senses. The blissful 130 acres of woodland are home to an indoor and outdoor tennis centre, a 9-hole golf course, heritage orchard, 70 working beehives, a walled kitchen garden, croquet lawn and more.

Aim of the Evening Spa Attendant role

To maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Spa.

Responsibilities of the Evening Spa Attendant role

  • To take pride in checking changing room areas and swimming pool for cleanliness every 30 minutes.
  • To take pride in assisting the Fitness Instructors in maintaining the cleanliness of all fitness equipment when requested, understanding teamwork and flexibility.
  • To report any maintenance faults to the Spa Housekeeper or other Manager if unavailable.
  • To respectfully assist guests and members with any queries where ever possible and referring to a Senior Manager if required.
  • To ensure a continual supply of clean towels and robes is available to members and guests.
  • To liaise with your colleagues in between early and late shifts.
  • To ensure shower gel, shampoo and water is always in plentiful supply.
  • To carry out cleaning tasks set by the Spa Housekeeper.
  • To test the water in pool four times per day.
  • To routinely check the tennis centre to ensure hygiene standards are maintained throughout the day.
  • To assist the Pool Bar team in carrying stock and buffet food to the Pool Bar when required, understanding teamwork and flexibility.
  • To ensure a good handover is carried out with Spa Housekeeper and other colleagues between.
  • To be passionate in attending any necessary training courses in-house or external.
  • All staff should be confident in understanding and executing the company’s policies and procedures with respect to privacy, confidentiality and data protection.
  • To ensure that Company Policies are followed at all times.
  • To look after and monitor pool water records and file appropriately.
  • To always keep the plant room safe, tidy and hazard free
  • To back wash all pools 2 x a week
  • Complete the Pool Responder training to ensure compliance with pool health and safety standards within one month of commencing the role.

Summer Months added tasks

  • To open or close the outdoor pool
  • To keep regular stock of towels
  • 3 x weekly out door cleaning/hover of the pool
  • To take and place guests food orders and deliver from the bar
  • To clear dirty plates and glasses from pool area

Evening Spa Attendant - About you

  • Experience in housekeeping, cleaning or laundry is desirable
  • COSHH training would be advantageous
  • You will have keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team
