As a Maintenance Assistant within the Engineering team at 11 Cadogan Gardens and The Chelsea Townhouse - the only Relais & Châteaux properties in London - you play an essential role in ensuring our hotels operate safely, efficiently, and seamlessly for both guests and colleagues.
Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will help maintain the fabric, fixtures, and systems of the buildings, responding proactively to maintenance needs and contributing directly to a smooth and memorable guest journey from check-in through to check-out.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will be a practical, solution-focused individual who remains calm under pressure and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You will respond to day-to-day maintenance requirements across both properties, supporting operations and ensuring guest comfort at all times.
- Respond confidently to maintenance requests and emergency calls from all departments, taking ownership to ensure priority issues are resolved efficiently.
- Adapt to changing priorities at short notice, ensuring minimal disruption to guest experience and hotel operations.
- Ensure all appliances, fixtures, fittings, and equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintain awareness of responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act and follow safe systems of work at all times.
- Work collaboratively within the Maintenance team and demonstrate flexibility in carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain full awareness of the hotel’s Fire Safety procedures and act in accordance with them.
- Participate in an on-call rota, as required.
